Principal's Message

Dear Trentwood Families,

As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, we want to share our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and partnership throughout this school year. Together, we have already accomplished so much in a short time. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended conferences. If you were unable to meet with your child’s teacher during the scheduled times, we encourage you to reach out and arrange a time to connect after the four day Thanksgiving break.  Our goal is to have 100% participation with families.

This season gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on all that we are thankful for, especially the joy, curiosity, and energy your children bring to our school community each day. We hope your holiday is safe, restful, and filled with warmth, togetherness, and celebration. From all of us at Trentwood, Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a reminder, as the weather grows colder, please help ensure your children come to school dressed appropriately with jackets, sweaters, gloves, and hats. Children lose heat more quickly than adults, and we want them to stay comfortable while enjoying outdoor play. Unless the wind chill drops to 15 degrees or below, students will continue to go outside for fresh air and exercise, which is so important for their well-being.

Valet Pickup and Drop-Off Reminder

As the weather gets colder, we want to remind families about our valet pickup and drop-off service. Valet provides a safe and convenient way to drop off and pick up students without leaving your vehicle.

Morning Drop-Off

Families may use the valet loop on the east end of the building.

Hours:

Monday: 10:05–10:29

Tuesday–Friday: 8:35–8:59

Two staff members are on duty each morning to assist students in safely exiting vehicles and entering the building.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Pick-up begins at 3:30 and ends at 3:45.

Because many students use valet in the afternoon, the process typically takes 10–15 minutes. Families remain in their vehicles while students are safely escorted.

To avoid longer wait times, we recommend arriving 5–7 minutes after 3:30. By then, many students will already have been picked up, reducing traffic in the loop.

Interested in Valet? If you would like to use the valet service, please contact the front office or your child’s teacher.
