Dear Trentwood Families,
As we come to the end of January and have half of our school year remaining, I want to take a moment to highlight something that truly strengthens our school community: the power of volunteers. Our elementary school thrives when families and staff work together to create a supportive, engaging, and joyful environment for every student. Your time, energy, and presence whether in classrooms, at events, or behind the scenes, make a meaningful difference in the daily experiences of our children.
Volunteering is more than helping with tasks; it’s a way to show our students that their education matters and that they are surrounded by adults who believe in them. Even small contributions like reading with a group, assisting during an activity, helping prepare materials, or supporting an event, have a major impact on the success of our students and your children. When students see families involved, they feel valued, connected, and motivated.
So, if you are able to volunteer, we would love your support at Trentwood. The more volunteers we have the better able we are to support students in need. Please reach out to your child’s teacher and ask about how you can help.
I also want to share an important update about our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Our PTO has been powered for many years by a dedicated group of volunteers, many of whom have served faithfully for 5–10 years. Their commitment has shaped countless programs, events, and opportunities for our students. However, many of these long‑serving members are no longer able to continue in their roles, and we are now in great need of new volunteers to step forward.
Without additional support, some of the activities and traditions our students love may not be possible in the future. Our current PTO has been graciously serving our community, but they would like to see some new faces and voices to continue the great work they have been doing.
Whether you can give an hour a month or take on a larger role, your involvement matters. We welcome all levels of participation, and we are happy to help you find a volunteer opportunity that fits your interests and schedule.
Thank you for considering how you might support our students and our school. Together, we can continue building a vibrant, caring community where every child feels supported and inspired.
*Reminder: Morning Start Times and Breakfast

Breakfast is served every morning in the cafeteria. Students may either eat breakfast at the tables or wait in the gym if they are not eating.
