Principal's Message

Trentwood Parents and Guardians

As we wrap up February and head into March, we want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. This time of year always brings a mix of growth, new routines, and fresh energy, and our students are really hitting their stride. We’re excited for the learning, activities, and opportunities that come with the spring months, and we appreciate all you do to help your children show up ready to learn each day. Here’s to a great start to March and a strong stretch ahead for our school community.

I also wanted to remind parents and guardians that we are always in need of more volunteers.  Volunteering can make major contributions to our school.  Even small contributions like reading with a group, assisting during an activity, helping prepare materials, or supporting an event, all have a major impact on the success of our students and your children.

Don’t forget about our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).  They are still seeking new members to continue their great work.  I thought it might be helpful to give you a general idea of what our PTO members have done and continue to do throughout the years.

PTOs do a lot of behind‑the‑scenes work that really helps our school run smoothly. Here are some common ways they support our Trentwood community:

Organizing events like family nights, dances, volunteering to support book fairs, or other fun events that bring families together.

Providing classroom support, whether that’s helping with supplies, funding field trips, or assisting teachers with special projects.

Volunteering during school activities, picture day, assemblies, or holiday events.

Fundraising to help pay for playground upgrades, sports equipment, technology, enrichment programs, or teacher appreciation efforts.

Building community connections by welcoming new families, sharing information, and helping everyone feel included.

Supporting staff through appreciation weeks, positive behavior incentives, or helping lighten the load during busy times.

Advocating for the school by communicating with families, gathering feedback, and helping strengthen the home‑school partnership.

These are some of the things that our PTO does for Trentwood, but there are many more and we need volunteers to continue to support all of the great things that go on at Trentwood.

Assistant Principal's Message

Trentwood Families:

It was wonderful to see students so excited to return from mid-winter break! Several shared how happy they were to see their friends again, which truly speaks to the strong sense of belonging they feel here at Trentwood.

I am so grateful to our families for sharing your children with us each day. They are incredible kids, and we feel fortunate to work alongside them as they grow and learn. Thank you for your continued partnership and support—it makes all the difference.

Attendance reminders:

One of my roles at Trentwood is supporting and improving student attendance. As a reminder, please call the office anytime your student will be absent, for any reason.

If you ever need support related to your child’s attendance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here to partner with you and help in any way I can.
