Principal's Letter
Trent Families,
What a wonderful week we had last week. I have to say I am beyond proud of our staff, students and PTO for the work they put in for our color run. We learned so much and cannot wait to do it again next year. I also know that the money raised is going to go to doing some great things for our students here at Trent. If you would like to be a part of all the amazing things happening we would love to have you join. Our next PTO meeting is November 7th at 4 in the library.
We also have some other amazing things going on here at Trent. We have NED coming to teach our students about having a positive mindset as well as how we should treat each other. Our veterans day assembly is coming up soon as well. Please know we enjoy it when parents and families join in on things with us.

Hi Trent Knights!
As we shared in September, we are currently teaching our Kindergarten - 3rd graders how to solve their own small problems using Kelso’s Choices! By the time we have finished our 4 lessons, all K-3 students should be able to identify the 9 Kelso’s Choices. We encourage you to ask your children about the 9 Kelso’s Choices they can use to solve their small problems!
Remember, October is Bullying Prevention Month! Encourage your students to use the 3-Rs, which are to Recognize, Report, and Refuse Bullying. Following Kelso’s Choices lessons, we will begin teaching bullying lessons in our 3rd - 6th grade classes.
Finally, as we are approaching the holidays, please reach out if you are in need of extra resources for your child/family.

THE BEST youth BASKETBALL LEAGUE ANYWHERE!
A major upgrade to Spokane area grade school youth basketball starting in Kindergarten. The formation of the Hooptown Youth League, LLC. provides opportunity and access for youth to participate at all levels. There are two levels: Recreational and Competitive for youth participants Grades K-6th encompassed all in one league.
For club teams, Hooptown offers a Club Division for 3-6th grade teams.
