Counselor's Corner

Happy Holidays Trent Wildcats!

As we approach the holiday season, our students will be participating in our annual Reindeer Run during the week of December 15th, before we head into our winter break.  This will be an enjoyable time where students can participate in an organized run/walk during lunch recess to earn chances for their names to be drawn for some amazing prizes!

We have just wrapped up teaching our bullying prevention lessons to all 3rd - 6th grade classes.  When we return from winter break, we will continue teaching bullying prevention lessons to all Kindergarten - 2nd grade classes.  We have been so fortunate to be able to walk alongside your students so far this school year.  We will plan to start small groups upon returning from break.

Also, please note that December 1st-7th is National Handwashing Awareness Week! This is a great reminder to encourage your children to wash their hands, especially before eating to avoid getting ill.  A great way to wash away the germs is to sing the “Happy Birthday Song,” to ensure hand washing is long enough.  Being sick is no fun, especially around the holidays and school breaks.

If any resources would be helpful around the holidays please do not hesitate to reach out to one of us, and we will do our best to assist. You can also use this link to sign up.      https://forms.gle/4Tf25yxbegFSvnNp9

Do be aware resources are limited and are time sensitive.

Have a great month!
