Principal's Letter
Trent Families,
We are off to a great start in school this year. I can tell you our staff is working hard to make sure every student in our school is being met where they are. We are working hard to get students to meet their best potential academically.
I want to thank you all for your patience as we try to get into routines with all the kids. It has been so great to see all of their smiling faces. It is our goal to make sure every student feels safe, welcome and like a part of the Trent family. Please know you can reach out anytime if there is a need our team can help with. Each student should have come home with a Trent shirt this week! We are doing spirit Fridays and we wanted to make sure every kid in the school had the opportunity to participate.

Counselor's Corner!!
Hi Trent Knights!
It’s another wonderful start to the school year! Ms. Baumann and I are doing Minute Meetings with all students new to us here at Trent Elementary. These short meetings allow us to introduce ourselves, get to know each other a little, and allow students an opportunity to share anything we can help them with right now. Through the month of September we will be teaching Kelso’s Choices to students K-3rd grade. These lessons include teaching students multiple problem solving skills when/if a problem arises. Some of these skills include: walking away, talking it out, and taking turns. Feel free to ask your kids questions about the skills they are learning!
Getting back to school, if you need assistance, or have any questions or concerns please never hesitate to reach out to Ms. Baumann or myself.

HOOPTOWN USA
THE BEST youth BASKETBALL LEAGUE ANYWHERE!
A major upgrade to Spokane area grade school youth basketball starting in Kindergarten. The formation of the Hooptown Youth League, LLC. provides opportunity and access for youth to participate at all levels. There are two levels: Recreational and Competitive for youth participants Grades K-6th encompassed all in one league.
For club teams, Hooptown offers a Club Division for 3-6th grade teams.
